It was a very lucky child who was given this miniature walnut dressing table around the middle of the eighteenth century. She obviously used it, or played with it, very carefully because it was in pristine condition as it sat in Richard Worth's booth at the Armory. Richard pointed to the high arches on the side aprons and the overlong pointed slipper feet and told me that they placed it in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The strongly scalloped apron on the front was also typical, he said, but not so specific to Monmouth County. $9,500.
